Brendan Fernandes (born December 29, 1979) is a Canadian artist of Indian descent who specialized in performance and sculpture. He obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from York University and Master of Fine Arts from the University of Western Ontario. He also completed the Independent Study Program of the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. His work was exhibited at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum as well as the Museum of Art and Design in New York, the National Gallery of Canada, Art Gallery of Hamilton and Andy Warhol Museum. He was a finalist for the Sobey Art Award in 2010 and on the list from 2013 till date. In 2007 he was named Artist of the Year by the South Asian Visual Arts Collective.
